Thanks, again! So you want to know can you be involved in the Student Ministry as a parent? Here is a list of things that you can do to serve our students for the glory of Christ.
- Our Parent's Prayer is held in the conference room in the church office between services at 10:30 until 10:50. High school parents meet on the 4th Sunday of each month.
- Provide Snacks for Sunday Nights and other Events. We are always in need of snacks for our hungry students on Sunday evenings. Please contact Lisa Bailey for more information on helping out with snacks.
- Host a D-team or Doulos group. During the school year we are always looking for families to host small groups.
- Let us know about What is going on in your student's life. This could be as simple as giving us their extra-curricular activity schedules to sharing praises about your students walk with Christ with us. Or it can be as deep as sitting down with Seth and talking about ways in which we can help you as a parent or discussing your student's struggles and how we can help. We are here for you, no strings attached!
- Come to Parent Meetings. Two or three times a year we have these meetings to share information, get you together with other parents, get feedback from you, and be an encouragement to your role as a parent.
- We are always looking for homes to host events such as Super Bowl Parties, Christmas parties, pool parties, summer Bible studies, etc.
- And we're always looking for help with events such as mission's fundraisers, mission's debriefings, youth musicals, and parents meetings.
- Some of the best stuff we've taught and done with the students have come from parents suggestions. So, please share Bible studies, books, resources and ideas that we can employ in the student ministry.
- Loan us your . . . home, lake house or ranch house for weekend retreats or events.
- Chaperone kids to events. Or (bravely!) loan us your car for transportation to and from our events.
Helping out our student ministries program is not limited to this list! If you have other ideas of how you can help out, please just contact us at the church office.
